Anika noni rose is an American singer-actress. She is best known for the role of Tiana the first Disney African-American princess in The Princess and the Frog. Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in 2011. Rose was the Oscar-winning actress who performed the role of Lorrell in Dreamgirls. Anika noni Rose is an American performer, songwriter and actress. She is most famous for playing Tiana, the Princess and the Frog's 2009 African-American princess. In 2011, she was honored as an official Disney Legend. She is also known for her starring role as Lorrell Robinson in the Oscar-winning movie Dreamgirls (2006) and for playing LaVerne Jukebox Ganner as part of The Starz series Power.
